About the Companion CD-ROM
The CD-ROM included with your copy of Official HTML Publishing for Netscape contains valuable software programs, textures, icons, and script files.
	To view the CD-ROM:
*	Double click on the LAUNCHME icon after opening the CD on your desktop.
You'll see a menu screen offering several choices. See "Navigating the CD-ROM" below for your options.

Navigating the CD-ROM
Your choices for navigating the CD-ROM appear on the opening screen. You can quit the CD, view the software, browse the Hot Picks, or learn more about Ventana.

The software, textures, and icons are listed in the Install folder on the CD. You can install the items one at a time to your hard drive by dragging them from the folder onto your desktop.

If the Ventana Viewer does not run properly on your machine, you may install the software using their individual folders.

clip2gif 0.7.2			a freeware GIF utility.

GifBuilder 0.4  			creates animated GIF files

GIFConverter 2.3.7  		graphical viewing and converting program.

Graphic Converter 2.4.3  		graphical converter.

GifScan 1.9.  			a freeware image defining utility.

PageSpinner 1.2  			an HTML Editor.

RFTtoHTML 3.0.1  		a utility that converts RTF documents to HTML documents.

Screen Ruler 2.0.5 & 2.0.4  	a virtual ruler ready to be dragged around on the desktop.

Sound Effects 0.9.2  		a sound utility.

Sound App 1.5.1  		a sound utility.

Sparkle 2.4.5 			plays MPEG and QuickTime movies and can convert movies from one 					format to the other.

Textures folder  			dynamic Web page backgrounds.

Icons folder			contains clipart.

Sheep folder			contains an example of a 10 frame server push animation 						described in Chapter 8.

Perl folder			contains perl script found in Chapters 9 and 10. 

The clip art found on this CD is from different sources.  The first images (icon001.jpg through icon057.jpg) were created by Kevin Dixon of Chapel Hill, NC.  The remaining images (icon058.jpg through icon283.jpg) were taken from a collection of clip art on the Web at http://leviathan.tamu.edu:70/.  This collection was put together by Extension Computer Technology, a support department in the Texas Agricultural Extension Service (TAEX).  The original images came from several different sources:  the Department of Agriculture Communications at TAMUS (DAC), the Computer Technology Group at TAEX and TAMUS (CTG), the Illinois Cooperative Extension Service (IL CES), the Epsilon Sigma Phi Extension National Honor Fraternity, (ESP) and the Institute of Food and Agricultural Sciences, University 
of Florida (IFAS).
